Turning video games into the movies is the exact wrong way to push for video games as an art form. The special sauce of video games is their interective nature, so the games that push the medium in artistic ways are those that find creative ways to advance the interactive components (i.e. the gameplay). Trying to make video games movies is the exact wrong approach because it implies that movies are the true art form and video games aren't.
