The only console I ever hacked was my PS Vita, but that was because my 64GB memory card got corrupted, and SD2Vita was a thing, so I was able to expand it by more than double. I never used it for piracy. I just wanted the extra space, and to make my Vita usable again, as well as fit my entire library I bought without having to deal with uninstalling and downloads.

Thankfully, Sony doesn't care about the Vita being hacked.

No one was pirating Switch 1 in the first year either, it took until 2018 despite the TegraLOLhax.

All the shit about "LOL LOOK WE GOT TOTK PRE-RELEASE AND ARE EMULATING IT BETTER THAN REAL HARDWARE" was industry plant tactics, including the very creation of those emulators.
Nintendo always knew the Switch ran games like shit, Switch 2 Editions were ALWAYS on the agenda to pad the lineup instead of focusing on new games.
This was all just to justify a tightening of the bolts, which is why we're back to having region locks and allowing third parties to do digital-only games.

Piratefags are some of the biggest retards on the internet. They never talk about games, all they do is screech loudly about pirating pointing giant spotlights on emulators and then shit themselves and call you a boot licker when you tell them to shut up. Half of them were expecting a Switch 2 emulator to be up day 1 because a few shops broke street date and they seem to think their Decks will be able to run a Switch 2 emulator, anything to justify that brick I guess.
And no, keeping your pirated game on your main hard drive that you also run all your games and OS from isn't preserving shit.

The switch 2 anti consumer practices are just the result of a crash out that has been building up since the DS days. Nintendo consoles have been pirated and emulated over any other company's by far and that fact pisses them off even though it has no effect on their bottom line. It's just a pride thing with them.

I figure with this guy it is more that he only needs to maintain himself and whoever else he has on board so he isn't sweating the small losses and probably has more than enough to hold him over for the rest of his life. Nintendo is a business with multiple studios and subsidiaries they need to maintain and pay.
