There are other areas in the game where that happens. There are also a lot of blind jumps you have to make because you can't angle the camera correctly or you press R to go in Mario Camera mode but you have to move forward a little bit for Mario Camera mode to snap behind your back. One specific example is that mission in Shifting Sand Lands where you have to jump down to platforms that you literally have no chance of seeing and if you miss you have to climb all the way back up. There are so many annoying little parts in the game like that which makes it unfun to go through unless you're a hyper autistic speed tranny with 400,000 hours played that can execute every trick perfectly.
