>>713021361 (OP)It's really, really good. This game made me realize what a proper single player FPS should be. I played this and the second game for the first time last year and I couldn't believe it but it actually made me want to keep playing until I beat it, same with the second game.
I think the second is arguably better but not by much and there's one or two things I liked more about the first but they're both masterpieces.
It really comes down to the level of detail and shows just how far modern games have fallen. They didn't repeat shit in the props of these games. I'll never forget walking into the casino off the strip (2nd game I think) and seeing a bunch of cards scattered on the ground. I had to zoom in with my scope to get a proper view and found that they were, like, business cards for strippers and had a bimbo and a phone number or some way to contact them on each card.
I'm not fucking joking when I say there was literally 15+ unique bimbos on the cards. I don't think I ever saw a duplicate, it was just unique sexy woman after unique sexy woman on every card.
Can you imagine such detail today? I remember making to a terminal where people were attacked with luggage. I think it was a subway or something like that. Every piece of luggage was unique. If there was an open luggage (which a lot were) then it had unique items in it scattered about spreading across the floor where they were fallen. Not one suitcase was copy pasted.
And when you think about it, these devs are being paid to make these games so it shouldn't be that hard to take your paycheck and actually produce a bunch of unique models and props but apparently that's a technique that's been completely forgotten.
Play these games OP. Play on the "Hard" mode for maximum fun. Not very hard, just hard
