So somewhat random question: On my Steam list I have several people who I played FFXIV with. Of them, at least seven are female. Of the seven, three have Nekopara avatars. One Vanilla, two Azuki.
Is there something that makes the franchise popular with women? Two of them are Married.... With Children. The third is her last year of college so these are all grounded women.

I do agree though, there has to be someone on the inside who has a particular grudge against this series specifically. Honestly we should've seen something like this coming when Vol. 4 failed to get the 18+ DLC and Artbook on Steam when the rest of the series had with no issue.
