I tried to read roadside picnic but the translation had an accent thicker than heavy weapons guy and I couldn't take it seriously.
I also read the Book of the New Urth series, and while I don't think it was ever directly stated, everyone seems to agree that it and the OG Thief games have the same vibe.

Yeah it's like an anthology/compilation of shorts, mostly indie animation but some live action. Thomas and Nardo from that list also had it's episodes as part of Liquid TV.

Isn't it almost impossible to find because it never got re-aired or sold on DVD because all the MTV animated shows used licensed music, and MTV didn't want to deal with renewing the licenses? Daria and Beavis and Butthead are the only exceptions I can think of, and they replaced the music (with shit).
