Carty is a good solo unit for overworld. Not as good as Feebs but Carty can melt anything. Game needs another difficulty tier and improved monster AI.

We don't really know, it had a rocky launch but it was gaining popularity until it suddenly got announced during what was supposed to be regular update maintenance that all development was cancelled. People datamined months' worth of content that was already in the game files but not available yet and the company said they'd release the story script for the next two chapters but they haven't done so yet.
Best guess is the shareholders got spooked by the bad launch and the company execs made an abrupt call to cut their losses and shut it down after a shareholder meeting rather than try to keep it going and recoup the development costs.
