The people where the bar for "good" game is so absurdly high that it bleeds their subjective tastes and nostalgic neuron connections into the rating.
In other words, gaming, no matter when they got into it, is on a downhill slope where nothing good ever comes out and they continue to play like the same core three titles (CoD, CS, or TF2) and every year is progressively worse and it will never change.
The kind of person who says they're into gaming but the last title they "enjoyed" was made so long ago that the normie they're talking to probably thinks, "wow that's actually really damn old. Does this guy have other hobbies?"
And the answer to that is always no.
That the kinda of critic SM is. If everything reversed. If we entered into a new age of the most based gaming possible. Where a man can say whatever he wants without getting banned. Where every game is so profanely horny you wonder how it isn't an h-game. A time where everyone, even the majority of posters on /v/ say, "wow this is a golden age".

No I don't hate the guy. He's just that kind of critic that's too emotionally involved in gaming and depressed (self-admitted) to really approach the medium for what it is and will always be.
