on linux on the other hand both versions ran extremely well

I've since gone back to playing vanilla WoW until a fresh server goes live in a month.
GOG has been my best friend, revisiting games from my childhood like the first 2 Warcraft games has been really fun.

So when the gpu price hits the floor of like $40 to $50 and doesn't go lower because sellers don't even bother shipping for less than that. I disagree with these two. They overheated the living shit out of laptop (a mid-end dell from 2k10), even worse than Age of Empires 3 and Titan Quest. TQ would overheat it until auto shut down if I would play in summer while Age of Empires 3 made the GPU crash after around 3 hrs of continuous gameplay. Magicka would nuke it in minutes.

i remember testing Magicka 1 on the said ThinkPad and it ran fine, though i did run it on Linux with more aggressive fan curves and a repasted CPU, most games would raise the temps to over 80 degrees but using a custom fan curve allowed me to use "disengage" speed you otherwise couldn't by default, which is pretty much go as high RPM as you can which helped a ton
