Guns do the job but the feeling of using your own arms to murder a nigger, seeing the fear and pain in his eyes, his blood splattering all over my clothes and feeling the impact force of the weapon trough the handle is just a cathartic experience. I want to use the force of my own body to fell my enemies, not some bullet.
Also melee takes no ammo so you don't have to worry about running out of ammo and being left with a useless weapon and it maybe takes alf a hour to make a good spear or club, capable of killing an unarmored person from nothing but wood or scrap.
