The responsibilities I am free from while playing older games include the following:

My only responsibility is to boot up the game and enjoy myself on a rainy morning. The game will be just as fun and functional 50 years later, even if I've never opened a loot box or created an online account to agree to data harvesting.

There are a bunch of old games I never got the chance to play when I was younger that I played for the first time in recent years and I enjoyed them a lot. Nostalgia is a very lazy argument people always use when they try to defend an industry that is in decline.

I play old games that become new favorites all the time. Played Wild Guns this year for the first time and I would absolutely put it in my 5x5
