If you want the best of both worlds you can get the original on pc and just not buy the directors cut. It's silly but director's cut removes a lot of the soul and fun of the game. Everything is now glued to you, the bike no longer drops packages and the game tries being a bit quirkier. I had the "pleasure" of playing through the pc version and then the director's cut on ps5 when that launched

Forgot to mention the little drop kick and more "combat" options you get. There's just a lot of little things added to make the game brain dead and "fun" since the kojima is a self conscious twat who can't commit to a vision at least that's my opinion

If you're on ps then the original goes for dirt cheap. If you're on pc the director's cut is dlc. Reminder this is just my opinion. Maybe you'll like the changes. That whole game is a mess man, but it is very enjoyable when it works and you're just delivering packages.
