I know the saturn had a longer, healthier life in japan than the west but by that point they were gearing up for the dreamcast (or sticking to the PS1 if anything, as evidenced by the fact that yugioh itself did this with forbidden memories.)

That's the vibe I get from looking at the art, the saturn covers had that egyptian golden borders look to them or something I dunno.
It doesn't have the dreamcast vibe at all, dreamcast was all clear colorful plastic y2k neon glowy colors scribble spastic cartoony wacky, doesn't fit it at all.
