Bought, unboxed, and played all DKC games when they were released. Read the manuals on the car ride home from toys r us. The nintendo power issues too.
Bananza will be a god tier game for real fans like me, it looks amazing.
Reminder also that the DKC games were multi-player. Anyone who had friends or siblings played it together. That person exposed themselves as a fake fan who probably only played it on an emulator.

If there's a legitimate concern. It's that a lot of the game will just amount to Minecraft digging, and wont be very fun.
I don't believe anyone complaining about the visual direction or DK's "new design"(which is 95% the same design, and I wouldn't have even noticed if people didn't keep talking about it) is genuine. They're obviously people who don't play Nintendo platformers, trying to stir shit.
DK as a franchise has already had several different visual directions, and the high anime style of this one feels rooted in what Koizumi previously did with Jungle Beat.
