Make it a difficult mech game, ape hard on Armoured core 4 answer but with tau mech suits. Would be fun to wipe out imperial guardsmen/chaos cultist hordes, and then get destoryed by Chaos mechs and daemon machines, or fight imperium tanks. Orcs would be fun too.

The problem with GW (there's 6 million problems kek) is they hate making games that feature more than 2 factions. They solely see video games as a means of advertising box sets, so you only get to make games based on what current faction box set they want sold, that's why they refuse to do any game that actually has a good representation of multiple factions. For the old world, they didn't give a shit because they killed the ip during the total war games life span (and also expected those games to fail, and when they didn't they gratefully raped the sequels) so that's why we get so many decent oldhammer games with lots of factions available.

Start out dealing with a human rebellion on a tau controlled world for the prologue/act 1, then transfer to an Imperial controlled region. Move the player from the standard shiny tau sci-fi through increasing stages of grimdark. Start with a grimy hab-block, then into a servitor processing facility and all it's cyborg horrors. Then mix in some chaos elements that the Tau protagonist just thinks is more messed up human shit. Tau forces get stuck in between human factions fighting. And a brief interlude where you pilot a crisis suit in a high speed battle against space marines before getting trapped even deeper into the grim darkness.

Valedor just got releeased on audiobook yet Iyanna Arienal and Prince Yriel both don't have models. Sylandri Veilwalker has been a major fifure for years and is among the few named Harlequin characters, but she'll never ger a model. There's numerous archetypes that could be filled for named Eldar characters but it's unlikely any of them happen considering Marines are the only armies to get special sub-faction releases now.
