After letting it simmer for a year and watching a few streamers play through the game I continue to be impressed at how fucking good the writing in Nine Sols is.
Every single significant character is likeable, has understandable motivations and character arcs and feel like they matter to the story, even side characters like Chiyou and Shennong.
The external worldbuilding and history/geopolitics autism is intriguing if you're into that, and alll plot threads are resolved and brought closure in the end.
Such a special game.
Also huge cred to the localizers who did a stellar job making the end result feel natural. Maybe we can make a few exceptions when we bring on TLD.
