Joel's death was unbelievably rushed and full of holes given it was rewritten late-ish in development, from Abby actually infiltrating Jackson and winning the community's trust for several months to the cabin scene, meaning now the way Joel and Tommy end there is contrived as fuck and the way it plays out in the final game feels like Abby hit three natural 20s consecutively because after five years they arrive at Jackson the one day where there's a blizzard, an unnaturally big number of zombies which the characters comment on for how rare it is, Joel is outside Jackson covering for another scout team, *and* she stumbles on him and his brother. It doesn't feel natural and thus it doesn't feel earned.

The one redeeming element of this game's story is the ending. It's clear that Ellie's sexuality is a result of her being forced to engage in violence and other masculine acts from a young age. This is why she seeks out other women to top as if she were a man/ Throughout the second game she continuously struggles with this, growing more and more disgusted with herself. At the end, she is unable to kill Abby because she has finally realized her place is back in Jackson nursing my BWC and raising our 5 children.

Is anyone else's encampment not leveling up? I tried going Serraphite melee route but I don't have rank 10 unlocked yet for Brutalist tier. Gunplay is pretty fun so far in ranked, I like the M14 gets enemies in one headshot.
