Really good. I can't say it's AS good as the base game, but it's still very good. I'm ashamed that I was filtered by one of the puzzles and had to look up a hint, but the puzzles I did solve hit as hard as the Quantum Learning tower falling into the black hole to access it.

Its good. As >>713117570 said, not as good as the base game. Some puzzles had multiple ways to be solved, which I appreciated.
Now things I did no like: Getting around in general is not very fun. Specially when you already know the solution or you just want to try something out, but you dont have enough time. Meaning you need to do all the setup again the next loop. It gets very annoying after a while.
There is also a timed mechanic that, while cool at the start, it gets very annoying when you find out that you need it for just one or two things. However, you don't know that at the start, so when you eventually those two things, it becomes an event that is just there to be annoying

The reason I don't like this game is the translator. I'm pretty sure a good chunk of the game can be figured out through environmental storytelling, but this is something that only dawned on me in retrospect and made me really sour on it. Had the game maybe been about collecting a bunch of glyphs and translating fragments before piecing everything together at the very end instead of treating the player like they're and idiot, then it would be rewarding.

Fuck, why is the only game that has actually managed to do this really well the last 20 years been Tunic?

The "rules" of the game world in this regard is if there are trees nearby then there's oxygen. The place on the moon he hangs out at has some trees.

Sure, but EotE has pictures that pretty clearly spell it our for you. Exploration games should be almost like archaeology, and while I wouldn't expect people to decode hieroglyphics, you can deduce what could be the function through a little intuitive thought and experimentation; if there's any game where I would expect experimentation, it would be a game like Outer Wilds as death has no consequence.

Honestly, Tunic isn't exactly what I'm looking for either because it still obviously guided, but it's about the most cleverly guided game there is and I suppose anything more might be at risk of becoming as frustrating as a real puzzle game.

I'm not suggesting the puzzles necessarily needs to be conlang, just that exploration games should demand observation, experimentation, and deduction. It needs to be made clear that things in a game's world have meaning beyond being set pieces to provoke a fantasy or because the developer thinks it's good level design.
