Never, because all the popular "JRPGs" barely count as "role-playing" and are simply glorified visual novels and dating/social simulators.
All the "true" JRPGs are niche, because Japanese people and weebs don't actually want to play role-playing games,

I think enough time has passed for us to admit Metaphor may have been a tad bit overrated.
I like how you chose Open Critic instead of Meta, because the user score is so drastically in E33's favor.

I'm an unironic atlus fanboy (as in I'm probably even going to play that P5 gacha slop) but Expedition 33 mogs them hard except for the gameplay. The music, writing, and narrative are leagues better.
