Is there some sort of rule that Nintendo has that prevents them releasing these games on Switch? Virtually every other Wii U got has been rereleased on Switch.

Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD are obvious filler titles for the Switch 1's actual last winter holiday sale push. They will NOT be bundled, ever, lol. Nintendo is also likely starving people out to get them to buy these at day one, like at how long Skyward Sword has been on the market. I often forget it was even ported, people don't care for that one as much as the these two primarily because they haven't been ported for so long. Wind Waker GameCube is a miserable experience compared to its remaster.

The remaster adds the swift sail, makes the triforce hunt shorter, improves the pictobox, replaces the tingle tuner with a bottle that adds miiverse functionality (now dead), among other things I'm probably forgetting.

first thing I did on my switch 2 is play through the wind waker, and those HD QoL additions are *fine*, but they don't really fix the emptiness of the game, they just slap a bandaid on the glaring flaws. improving the pictobox affects what, the figurine sidequest?
