There's so many TV shows that people say are amazing that I genuinely want to watch but whenever I have free time to watch them I always opt to play vidya instead. Movies and shows just don't scratch the same itch that games do, no matter how good they are.

Expedition Conquistador has a 76% on Steam and is often considered the weakest of the Expedition series by retarded normies, but to me its pure kino and the only good game in that series. Its a solid 8/10 in my book.
Other than that, I dont know. Normgroids have REALLY low standards so the only time they actually hate a game is when its pay-to-win or so broken its literally unplayable or extreme low effort shovelware slop. Neither of which I like.

Im playing through it right now and i love it
Almost everything hated about it is extremely overblown. Most notably hitboxes : I am playing with 6 ADP and im in the endgame, these hitboxes are blatantly more precise and forgiving than every other game in the trilogy. And its basic math : They made the game around the player quite possibly having very little i-frames, so they made fights about being able to dodge stuff without rolling inside of it. If i can first try so many bosses after evading their combos with my 6 ADP rolls, then surely these hitboxes cant possibly be actually bad

Simcity 2013.
It had a really shit release but a lot of the big problems were patched out. Its not a great game, but it scratches a different itch than cities skylines.

First, you can play it multiplayer, then i like how you can upgrade and customise buildings in it and the limited map size forces you to spend time upgrading your city instead of like in C:S where you build a map and basically never go back to that tile again.

annoying thing is it got such a bad reception that its unlikely EA will ever release another Simcity game now.
no, I wont play 4, i dont like it, 3000 was ok but had its own problems, and i think everyone still agrees 2000 is the best.

What i'm waiting for is a modern Simtower game. Project Highrise is OK but went way too autistic in the business/finance management side of shit.

Death Stranding, I was on the hate bandwagon too because the gameplay was (accurately) described as a delivery simulator. Then when I tried it out, I realized I liked the depth of mechanics despite the simplicity of gameplay.
Ironically, it's the non-delivery parts like boss fights that I find annoying, and I hope the sequel doesn't lean more into the combat aspect.

It does, but the thing is that Kojima said stealth and ignoring combat is there just the same as an option, which I find it great because DS is the kind of game I use for visuals, absorb the atmosphere and relax.
