You don't. It's a people or subservient corporate drones who have an unhealthy obsession with authority and social cues. Living there for 6 months really blackpilled me on Japan. It only looks good in otaku media. Beautiful country though and it's not only negatives. Their obsession with appearances has some positive aspects like clean public sanitation or a sense of respect in public transportation I haven't seen anywhere else in the world. Just make sure to hang out with japanese people who are a little on the western/free side because the hardcore ones are genuinely npcs
