Patch came out today that nerfed the amount of damage enemies do and increased the damage they take on NG+ cycles. Also says that it adjusted stats for field enemies in the DLC on a first playthrough. Since it specified field enemies I don't think the nerfs apply to bosses.
You can also access the DLC from Chapter 5 now if you're on NG+.

I cheesed a lot of enemies with Bow on my first run through the DLC. It does have damage drop off the further away you are, but even with that a perfectly timed charged R2 still does decent damage and stagger. So you can snipe away at most enemies from a safe distance until you build up enough for the Fable Art which does a fuckton of damage and almost always causes a stagger.

Lies of P is a weird game cause I beat it back when it came out but I feel like I didn’t really beat it cause afterwards I was reading about it and I realized I missed almost every optional story moment. I also never understood most of the game mechanics. The whole thing felt so cryptic as if it were a parody of a FromSoft game, and my memories of playing it feel like a hazy fever dream.

I experienced a hollow victory with the summon and running away until alrecchino focused on lea, but I beat it. I don't know any move in phase 2 besides the opening and I fear the rematch, but that's a problem for tomorrow. If you aren’t going advance, then just look at what gives the most damage at the blacksmith. Advance is for legion arms mostly, there are a couple of weapons that innately have advance scaling and apply status effects but if you use an advance crank on a regular weapon it just adds base damage scaling.

You can destroy his left hand horn and he takes a lot more extra damage there and you'll be able to attack it multiple times every time you parry his standing slap fatal.
