Yes, but it's a binary, not a spectrum. As long as the characters are attractive, I won't dismiss it. But making them 10x more attractive and mocaped doesn't mean I will be 10x more likely to play it. Honestly, they don't even have to be attractive. Just don't make the characters an affront to life and nature.

You could have the hottest bitches ever, uncontestably hands-down the most amazingly sexy designs vidya's ever seen, and I still wouldn't play a sports or RTS, nor any game of any genre that involves deck-building as a game component.
