>>713141545 (OP) >gf convinces me to buy gundam breaker 4 >fuckin shit mobilegame tier gameplay with super shit desync in multiplayer
why do they always do this? can there be just ONE good gundam game accept for dynasty warriors gundam?

Just 2. >best models >best gameplay feel >no bullshit gimmicks, just straight musou action
Admittedly, I have never played any of the Musous past 3, but I've never heard anyone mention them outside of the original trilogy, so I guess they're not that good.

I had tons of fun with it, even though it would never be balanced. I'd play it today even if it was still in its final state before shutting down
>>713142190
i played reborn and it was a really good game. tons of content, really varried move sets, good music. not only is it the only good gundam game but its one of the best dynasty warriors games too

Look up Side 7, anon. They've been working hard to get their private server functioning, they've had lobby matches for a long time and they're about to start their second casual matchmaking test on Saturday and Sunday. I played the first matchmaking test and it was almost completely smooth with average 1-3 minute queues thanks to enough people playing, I strongly recommend giving it a look. Everyone who still cares about the game is good enough that nobody will outright drag your team down, and while there are a few elder-god-tier pubstomp players they can't just stack together so you're likely to have as many of them on your team as on the other team to balance things out

i played like a hundred-eighty hours of SD Gundam CrossRays and it was fun as a bitch. in my imagination, Gundam Breaker 3 Ultimate is a definitive Gundam experience as well, but in reality i only played it on my PS4 Pro for like 20 minutes because it runs at 24 FPS. Gundam Breaker 4 is aight but i bounced off it pretty fast. i wanna get that Gundam Seed game they just put on Steam eventually.

I got gb4 because I'm too poor to buy gunpla and have a toddler that would smash them up and choke on them. In the role of a gunpla simulator, it's fantastic.
>>713142869 >balance issues at launch that weren't as bad as people made out at the time (genuinely a skill issue that the community got over) but drove off casuals >systematic issues like frequent crashes and no backfill for casual matches if a player leftโthis latter issue never got addressed at any point in the game's history despite becoming the community's number one complaint >extremely greedy monetization: >>no way to get F2P currency and buy DLC units beyond starter quests that can get you one unit and a free battle pass track that could get you one unit per BP >>Overwatch-style lootboxes in the year 2023, after the market had long moved past that due to consumer backlash >>Char's Custom Zaku, one of the most iconic mechs in the franchise, was a time-limited skin that required anywhere from hundreds to THOUSANDS of dollars in lootbox purchases to obtain. You couldn't even get lucky and earn it from a lootbox itself, you had to get enough duplicates to get a different F2P currency than the above one and purchase the skin >devs were slow at addressing issues with the game >a handful of FAGGOT comp players would always stack a full team of 6 to pubstomp in casual lobbies around the latter half of the game's life, making people not want to play (fuck you CarlSagan and Kasino) >also OW2 released around the same
It's a real shame because the gameplay was tight and the balance was almost sublime at the game's end with every unit being viable and no unit being so strong as to be must-picks. The game, in the state it was in by the end, was great, but Bamco blew the launch and squandered the hype wave.
>>713142869
it sucked fucking ass and didn't feel like Gundam at all. it was a weightless Paladins reskin. i also recall the mtx being predatory as a bitch.
>>713144661 >that Gundam Seed game
Battle Destiny Remastered is decent, had fun for the ~8hrs it took for me to complete it. Shame it has no multiplayer to it.
>>713145886
yeah dude! no fucking kidding. i watched a brief review the day it hit Steam and was gutted when the guy said the original had multiplayer but the Remaster doesn't. that would've been so cool.

The worst part is that GBO2 is unironically a good game but the gacha shit makes it abysmal to enjoy. The actual gameplay is pretty good as an actual mobile suit simulator. They should've just made it a normal progression system with a skin battle pass or something, but instead it's forever cursed to be Overwhelmingly Negative on steam.
>>713144879
You're forgetting the part where they got extremely butthurt that the new units got leaked and threatened to sue the leaker if he didn't shut up.
The leaked units were also the last units the game ever got LOL
Basically the standard Gundam video game failure, good ideas ruined by the constantly out of touch and incompetent Bamco C teams.
>>713149085
It honestly feels like they tried to copy all the worst parts of modern shounen and forgot what made Gundam actually resonate. No faction complexity, every "twist" telegraphed a mile away, and the suits themselves looked like someone fed SEED and IBO into an AI image generator and said "now make it politically relevant." I watched every episode hoping it would pick upโfelt like a personal attack by the end.
>>713143120
yeah this
t. in the process of beating the Titans path first, I started the game again days ago but I got pretty close to unlocking "Amuro joins the Titans" years ago when I was playing it on my potato PC
>>713144862
real gunpla is both a lot more fun and a lot harder to do. >gotta git gud at scribing >gotta git gud at painting >gotta git gud at seam welding >gotta git gud at planning your build so that pieces fit together properly and aren't out of place size wise
it's a lot of work but it is satisfying. the higher amount of customization that you can do IRL beats out the ease factor of using a gundam breaker. wait till your kid is a bit older or find a way to stash them away from the kid.
