I played that piece of shit walking simulator dear esther and the dude in the gas mask right at the end freaked the shit out of me. I was sure he was important and spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get in there and interact with him. terrible execution of an easter egg. not hidden, confusing, placed at the climax of the game, totally detracts from everything and makes you think it's important

Played gta v and was exploring the mountains when i saw that ghost easter egg. It was where governor jock through his wife off the mountain and her ghost was there. Literally shit my pants as it was midnight ingame and i turned off the console fucking sat in my bathroom as it spooked the shit out of me

Played nikki game and did the light switch easteregg. Decided not to sleep that night

The giant stalchild that spawns in OoT if you kill enough of them at night in Hyrule Field

I can't remember the exact game, but it was some boat or jetski racing game on PS1 or N64. If you went too far out of bounds during a race then a giant sea monster would pop out of the water and eat your racer and then you would respawn back on the race track. It happens really suddenly and I remember it scaring the shit out of me as a kid.

It's really silly but I didn't knew english at the time and this was the first time I saw an easter egg, it felt really weird to find something that looked out of place for the universe inside of the game, it would probably feel less spooky if I knew what was written

When i play nhl 19 with my nephew everyones skin was turned inside out including im cutscenes as a glitch. Freaked both of us the fuck out

when i was a kid discovering the insomniac museum in RaC felt like a total head trip like it wasn't supposed to exist and it was snuck into the game data

There was a cut arena boss that was a reskin of chainblade.very cool
