Oak getting hit is similar to Merrli getting hit, at first glance it looks like nothing but but when you look at it deeper, Snake-Eyes gets hurt a lot by losing it. Not only the fact that losing an extra body, free revive from GY and special summon from deck is bad, but what people are forgetting is that Flamberge's GY effect can't be activated if there's only one Lv1 FIRE monster in the GY, so banishing or bouncing back Ash or Poplar from the GY kills Snake-Eyes constant extension potential.

I can see people going back to Fire King since Ponix is also a Lv1 FIRE, but there's no arguing that Snake-Eyes as a whole has been severely crippled, between the Oak ban and Ash, Poplar, OSS, WANTED and Bonfire all getting limited.
