so which is it? you can only win by abiding to the stats that give such a "massive" advantage its an instant loss if youre not in the meta, which at BEST 5% more speed or 8% more acceleration than you.
or is it that none of it matters because item RNG is going to dominate anyway so anyone can win?
the fact is ALL mario karts are like this, if you allow items items will cause bad players to win and good players to lose. if you play without items then of course the best player wins, if all players are good, then the best setup will likely win.
The next truth is that world is objectively the best MK (outside of playing the connected tracks, just playing the 3-lap single races) because what actually matters is skill, jumping over rough terrain, wall riding, bouncing off poles etc all matter more than picking the right kart or character.
He who can do the autism speedrun lap is going to win over he who picked the meta kart.
Meanwhile the itemfag is less powerful as the standard 3 lap tracks have much less powerful corner cuts.
People picking to play the open world raceslop mode then bitching are retards. Vs race, Open mode, Select map, Select same map, there. 3 laps, no connected bullshit.
