RE7 has actual gameplay mechanics weapons, progression, boss fights not just hiding in lockers and running away. Comparing the two is like comparing Doom to Amnesia just because they're both in first-person.

It's already confirmed to be a TPS which is a good start. I respect 7 and Village for experimenting with the FPS perspective but it's not Resident Evil.

I think its fine if its Leon, but keep it like RE2 and not RE4. The fact you can play entirely in first person makes me think it will be like that, no roundhouse kicking people or stun into melee like RE4/5
