I had a dream picrel was just released for the Switch 1. It had the same engine as engage and the same exploration gameplay as SoV.
A new "camp" system that allowed you to rest at castles you captured to resume the battle later - you could also explore them.
I was so happy and having the best time of my life.
Then I woke up.

Not that I'm hating, it's one of the better looking Switch games. But yeah it wasn't some in-house engine.

Sounds awful. I'd rather replay the old version.

The Switch introduced me to so much IP that I never tried, and FE is at the top of that list.
Anxiously awaiting something new for either console, would even pick up a 2 if needed.

You can expect FE news in the next big direct I would imagine. We haven't had news on anything new since Engage which is a couple years old. Only rumors floating around now.

At the very least I would expect Switch 2 patches for Engage and Three Houses, maybe even a Switch 2 Edition with extra content for Three Houses since it sold way better.

It’s funny cause that’s how the rumors started. Someone saw a leak of Fire Emblem Engage years ago, specifically Sigurd's model and they said visions of the remake came to them in a dream. That's it. They misinterpreted an anniversary/celebration title of FE Engage as FE4 Remake because Sigurd is in it. 5 years now of this mysterious remake who's origins only exists in the dreams of a Twitter user who kept getting circular reporting "confirmation". Just keep repeating your insiders. Where did the source of the rumor come from? Engage is a pretty good looking game by Switch standards. It's Three Houses that was rough around the edges visually, but I don't blame you for not knowing Engage was even a thing.

Awakening and Fates were extremely successful and acclaimed by the general public
SoV was a remake and went completely unnoticed despite its excellent presentation
3H was an even bigger success
Engage was the only new game that had a mediocre reception
