Wild hearing a Logitech mouse last so long with how shit they are today.
I have a collection of Logitech mice that failed(3 G700 and a G502), since I kept using the 3 year warranty they came with to get a free replacement when they started double clicking.
The last 502 was the one that finally outlasted its warranty, and started double clicking like 3 months after the warranty expired.

I can't be arsed to learn a new grip, but also I am convinced that the people who get carpal tunnel due to their mouse grip are 60 IQ nigerians. I cup my hand around the mouse instead of holding it straight like all the photo examples of carpal tunnel- if I try to grip that way it is immediately uncomfortable for my wrist. why'd anyone just power through that?

it's like the streetshitter propaganda against real toilets, all the "professors" and experts and wikihow artists that think you sit straight and use the toilet tank as a fucking backrest instead of being a normal person and lean forward, elbows on knees or something.

y'know I've been curious about a mouse with this design for a while. I use a fingertip grip, so this might actually work. The concern is I have big-ish hands so my thumb rests about 2/3rds down the side of the mouse. Also I wonder what the balance of the weight is on something like this.

OP1 8K is my current mouse. I've been a big wireless mouse fan for 5-8 years, but this one was worth going back to the cord. Only issue is the wire (lol) and there's an issue with one of the side buttons where it double-clicks randomly. The latter was probably due to me replacing the base of the mouse and fucking up something.

Yeah, the pic is bullshit, but iirc the actual reason for those mice is not the position of the wrist itself but the movement, that instead of moving the hand side to side you kind of move it up and down (again, kind of, the best peripheals for that sort of wrist problems are some kind of mouse with a "rigid joystick" hande that isn't even produced any more

It's a simple concept, lighter offers more control. Nobody at high levels of play is advocating using heavy mice unless they are disabled and have motor skills issues like parkinsons that means their hands shake.
If I throw a ball towards you and you have bricks attached to your hands, you'll react faster and more accurate without.

Had this one for like three years and I love that you can adjust the position of the side buttons to your liking. Only shame is the known issue about the scroll wheel being ass and the encoder eventually throwing in the towel if you click it a lot, which I do. Managed to get it working again by disassembling it and putting it back together, but I'll eventually have to look for an alternative.
Even if I don't play them anymore, I'll definitively stick to an mmo mouse for the convenience.

not every game is in source engine where you can adjust your sensitivity down to the fucking planck length
some just have a scale of arbitrary numbers where even the lowest setting will fuck you over and be way too sensitive and it's annoying to keep switching

>3200 dpi
that sounds unusable desu, I'm running 1200 dpi and I still have to set my dpi even lower for a lot of older games that don't let me set the ingame sens low enough

let me guess, you need more?

in an ideal world there'd just be some global setting called 3d sensitivity that just sets the rotation speed for every single fucking game and you could run your mouse at its maximum dpi to take advantage of the fucking tech instead of having to measure that shit out

I have carpal tunnel and often have to use a wrist brace during intensive mouse use so I have my DPI set at like 3500 so it is easy to make movements while barely moving my wrist. Anyone who I let try my computer is like "holy fuck your mouse is sensitive"

I had this for years as well what killed it for me was totally unrelated to the mouse but the software it uses. Icue has a memory leak that kicks in every other patch and it takes them months to fix it. It's also the heaviest mouse I've ever used but man did it survive taking some serious damage.

i mean for custom sensitivity values on games that have shit sensitivity options. you can have a flat accel but change the sens that way.
but also, proper mouse accel is good
