I think rules card gave you a hint that you needed to die in the sacrificial room with missing poster, which in turn gave you a clue to unlocking the Lost (die as character x under y circumstances)
But everything got datamined and butthurt Edmund just changed the Lost conditions to dying in sac room while holding the missing poster in afterbirth

Yeah, base Rebirth had it where you had to sacc with Missing Poster as specific characters to have a puzzle piece for said character on the death screen, and those puzzle pieces hint at how you're suppose to die as each condition to unlock Lost
Antibirth walked that shit back to just require one Missing Poster sacc to unlock
