Spyro and DK's redesigns are good. Crash's design isn't bad in isolation, but Nicholas Kole's artstyle is obviously a mismatch for Crash, which is far more cartoony and Looney Tunes inspired than the more "western kids' fantasy" vibe of Kole's artwork.
Kole also literally isn't a furry. If you wanted an example of vidya character design done by a furfag, the character designer for the original Sly Cooper trilogy has attended multiple furry conventions before.

DK's new design has nothing to do with furfags either unless you're a projecting faggot.

Why are they all so soft and lame now? It feels like they’re trying to make these designs as toothless and safe as possible, like any hint of edge or wily personality is too much. They did the same thing to Shrek in his latest upcoming movie and a bunch of other characters.

I bought Reignited just to see Spyro licking his paws in HD.

The guy who did Spyro's redesign for the Remakes and Crash's redesign for Crash 4 are the same guy, Nicholas Kole. Theyre way too emotive and almost like a pseudo rubber hose style where even just smiling requires 120 frames of animation where they bend and stretch. Not every character needs as much motion as Voldo when theyre standing at idle. Mario in Mario Odyssey was even slightly guilty of this in certain circumstances where hes dancing like hes doing the potty dance or needing to fuck around with his facial expressions
