there's a lot less distinguishing 10 and 11 so that'll take a while unless they deliberately force incompatibility

Steam supported Windows 7 until the underlying Chromium webslop dropped support for it -- and even then, they never did anything that would break existing Steam installs on Windows 7 machines. Despite a scary "Steam will stop running on Windows 7" banner on top of the Steam window, the update that incidentally would have broken Windows 7 clients was simply not pushed to them. I don't know if you can do a fresh install on a Windows 7 system now, but occasionally Anonymous will post a screenshot of Steam still working with the "will stop running in 0 days" banner. lol

It includes desktops. No one is talking about gaming PCs exclusively here.
But since you mentioned offices, these are even more relevant for Microsoft than gaming stuff and they have absolutely no reason to upgrade, specially since it actually costs company money, so even more reason for them to pull a 7 again.

Microsoft's entire business model is around selling office stuff, followed by OEM with gamers barely being a concern. They are the only ones they truly care about.
>point is that among the actual normies and their computers this is nowhere close to what microsoft did with 7, all those normies grabbing new laptops and prebuilts are bending the knee
Still over 50% of the entire market. Statcounter statistics come from web trackers, which means that half the people browsing the internet from a PC are still on 10. And it won't be any lower than that by October. They are 100% bending the knee.

I gave up on vista and moved to mint. I haven't looked back. It's been almost 15 years now, if you're still using windows in 2025 you deserve to be hacked. At the very least use a separate drive and burner outlook account in case microsoft goes down or loses your password.

LLMs don't do that. They write overly verbose bullshit, and you have to beg them not to sound soulless.
I decided to have some fun and here's the result. It's pretty good but not very convincing. If I tried to pass this off as a genuine post (which I never do btw), I think someone would probably call it out as AI-generated.
Did it ignore my instructions to include spelling errors? I don't see any but I'm too lazy to read it all carefully. I should have told it to keep under 400 characters or something.

Except it doesn't, because Recall doesn't exist on x86-64. At all. You can't show me one x86-64 machine where it exists. But you'll keep saying that because you're a liar.
It's also likely not coming. It was pretty universally hated on ARM, and they were hinting at an eventual rollout, but we're almost at the next yearly update, with no hint it will ever happen. This coming update is actually expected to be small, as some people just recently got 24H2.

I don't even care if w11 takes screenshots of my shit and a photo o my fapping
The deal breaker is the ultra dogshit UI, I need to use it for work and I still haven't gotten used to what's a plain downgrade of w10

I haven't made the switch to Linux yet because every distro has dogshit UI too, but I might as well use it now that I'm getting garbage either way

it doesnt matter how much of it is free if the idle OS is using 23GB it literally proves the point of it being bloated
unless you are trying to pretend to be a retard and show how Windows 11 users are retarded and it is a bloated OS

It allows them to free up their resources. Supporting two OSes requires you to maintain more teams doing disparate shit. When you drop the old one, you can either lay off or fold the old OS team members into the new one.

SteamOS has issues on basically anything that it wasn't explicitly made to run on (i.e. Steam Deck and a few other handheld PCs) and isn't even officially available for fresh installs. Bazzite is pretty much just SteamOS with some modifications to make it more suitable as a desktop OS.
