Help me find the JRPG to finally make it click for me, I feel I've given the genre an honest shot but it keeps not meshing with me
Here's what I've played

I guess it depends what you want from a JRPG? If you want some deep gameplay to keep you focused and a big world to explore with a ton of replayability I cant recommend Romancing SaGa 2 Revenge of the Seven enough. It's very light on story, but what story is there isnt bad. It's a lot more modern than all the other SaGa games and it's a lot harder to get lost in what youre trying to do.

The best I can help you with is to avoid mainline Pokemon games, yes they are jrpgs. Some of the spinoff games are good I've heard like mystery dungeon.
