I've watched this show and I'm disappointed at how medically inaccurate it was. Some things like House starting patients on propylthiouracil when suspects hyperthyroidism is absolutely revolting (this happened on more than one episode btw)
The only reason I continued watching it is because the drama was interesting.
I thought this show was medicine with some drama on the side but it turned out to be drama with some medicine sprinkled on the side.

The show is not aimed at people who are looking for tips on how to treat and diagnose patients. It is aimed at people who like having drama and tension with medicine as a backdrop. The show is supposed to be like those detective shows where they chase a mystery killer like CSI aka procedural drama except it's in the hospital and the suspects are the diagnosis and treatment. Watching it mainly from a professional doctor standpoint would be like watching Law and Order from a lawyer's standpoint. It just needs to be technical enough to make the episode interesting.

Vogler was bad but was sensible as a villain: he's an idiot who wants to try to profit off a hospital and sees the diva doctor (which house is) be a massive waste of resources (he really isn't he's free advertising with the shit he solves). Tritter was supposed to be some sort of commentary about how bad House would be if he were in another career except a doctor doesn't have legal power to have me imprisoned. Everything he did was beyond terrible when given the backing of legal-justice authority, he tried to ruin multiple lives purely to punish House for humiliating him, and even ultimately convinced himself he was doing it to fucking help House. What I like about House is how, overall, it's consistently good regardless of the differences between seasons.
It had some bad episodes with unbelievable moments by retarded writers (like the one where house gets away with firing a fucking gun in the morgue or when he knowingly obliterates an MRI machine) but overall House toes the line really well on brilliance vs malpractice and it feels believable (aside from some dumb moments) because the setting has always been that House takes in patients who couldn't be figured out by other doctors and ultimately his results speak for themselves.

Oh and the fact that the team almost always had a cute/hot doctor.
