It's not good enough for two reasons. The eyes were only like that because of the game and served a symbolic purpose. More importantly it sucks to animate because of the midget proportions.

So I recently read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, and watched Blade Runner.
Maybe the design wasn't reused because the Klonoa 2 model is a different model of dream android than the one used in Door to Phantomile and Moonlight Museum.
You know, because androids only have a 4 year lifespan, and the time difference between Door to Phantomile and Lunatea's Veil is 4 years (1997-2001).
So the most the Klonoa 2 model had in common with the Klonoa 1 model was some implanted memories from the original Klonoa. Memories that the King of Sorrow tried to use against him in the Maze of Memories and Ruins of Sadness, to no avail.
