Did /v/ love undertale when it first came out?
I never played it myself didn't really appeal to me I guess
Undertale was "meh" to hated.
Opposite of YIIK who went from hated to becoming /our/ game.
Both better than Stardew who keeps jumping from love and hate
>>713240840 (OP)We loved Temmie Chang, that's for sure.
>>713241080The reason why i ask is that this deltarune game keeps appearing everywhere and i am wondering if there was 50 threads back then as there is with deltarune now
When the demo came out people liked it quite a bit but it wasn't too popular.
When the game came out there was a brief moment where people liked it quite a bit, but the fanbase quickly filled with the worst kinds of people, the game was datamined to shit destroying nearly all that was interesting about it (and I don't recall if it was revealed that a diaperfur faggot had his cameo boss in game hidden somewhere before this datamining process or after) and it was lambasted by anti assjews.
So for the most part it wasn't liked, just it took a bit for people to grow to hate it. Sans turning into a meme didn't help. And then there was that temmie suck dick for college thing going on.
The difference between then and now is that a lot more of those people who actually loved it found this place and made it their home.

Some people even think OP isn't a fag
>>713240840 (OP)spent 10 minutes looking for this in my 4chan folder and couldn't find it so i had to use the archives instead
undertale was explosively popular on here because contrary to popular belief this place has the exact same opinions as the rest of the internet and its why you see tons of people in every deltarune thread talking about how undertales release was one of their favourite ever times on /v/
>>713243104>WAAAAAH WAAAAAAH /v/ HATES EVERYTHINGdebate or ignore shitposts, you can talk about literally anything you want on here, if the mere EXISTENCE of someone shitting on something pisses you off you have some growing up to do sweety
i originally dismissed undertale as a tumblr/homestuck-esque type of game/story and didn't touch it. wasn't until i saw a few people here talk about how good the story was that i gave it a shot. certainly was mixed (with half the people just calling it reddit over and over, lel) but for sure was a sizable population talking fondly about it
i ended up not really enjoying it, but i was glad that other opinions were there.
No. It was shilled and rightfully shit on.
