Core combat is the same, although the newer characters have more complex rotations.
Biggest change was giving each character their own ult charge instead of sharing it with the team.

I just cleared the tower quest with the weird dragon. I guess it was okay. There are 2 more exploration quests to beat, one of which has Phrolova's phantom, but I'm still doing those.

Like, if you don't care about the lore then you're not going to care about a disillusioned gladiator inheriting a black shores watch post, and if you don't care about septimont's culture, you're not going to care about the side quests that explore parts of it.

I forgot to mention, the translation is better though. Before, the case was the further removed from the main story you got, the more ESL the translation became. Now the quality is more consistent, at least in this patch.
