That makes literally no sense whatsoever. The PS5 came out when the RTX 3060 was released, now we have the 5060. That's around 40% increase in raw compute. In 2 years the ps6 will release. How the FUCK is it only 20% faster. Especially the Xbox will use AMD 3xd cache. This is bullshit, I don't believe that leak

Yeah, I mean if they have dlss 4 or something equivalent then that's not all that bad if upscaling happens from 1080p. I tried stellar blade on my multimedia pc with the 5060, on dlss performance it looks like native and runs consistently above 60 fps. Kinda wondering how though, it tells me I need 12 GB vram, and I only have 8.
Then I tried framegen, and with only 2x I get consistently over 100 fps. If the consoles have enough vram it can work, BUT the game needs to be optimized as fuck. This only works on stellar blade. Fucking clair Obscur expedition 33 barely gets 60 fps on 1440 on a 5060 ti 16gb. With dlss 4 upscaling from full HD to 4k it gets sub 60 fps on high. Absolutely insanity. On a 4080 you need dlss quality to get more than 60 fps. Native 4k is sub 60 fps lmao. That game is unoptimized as shit.

You're getting confused because OP is a retard. UDNA is 20% faster than RDNA4, and PS5/XSX is RDNA 1.5/2. Also apparently from the same guy, the consoles won't have the 3D stacking cache. Also also, the guy in the OP (Kepler) is an unironic snoy and AMD gigashill. He's right about a lot of the leaks but he's been wrong about them before (PS5 Pro was not 128 ROPs it's 64). Alsox3, PS5 Pro is RDNA 3.5/4 so expect the PS6 to be slightly better in raw performance (and higher price lmao) while upscaling like PSSR/FSR do all the heavy lifting.

>Second comment he replied to:

>Also, the home console SoC setup is gonna have 3D cache right?

>His reply:

>No.

Actually insane that 3D cache isn't being used. A PS5 Pro has the equivalent of a Ryzen 3600 and even a 5700X3D shows about 50% better performance in most tests.

Part of the issue is Nvidia moving to AI since that's where all the real money is, and AMD is content with staying slightly behind because their CEO is the Nvidia CEO's cousin and proud Chinese citizens first and foremost. The other issue has to do with developers being too shitty to even use the hardware effectively. Look at Capcom's recent releases, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds don't look -that- much better than their other games, yet you need a beefy computer AND have frame-gen activated to get them to run at an acceptable 1080p60. Hell even Sony's games run like ass on the PS5, and those games are supposed to be made for that console. Better hardware won't fix anything in the long term if these companies can't get their devs to do a better job.

Hard to say. A lot of developers are increasingly incompetent and super retarded + they're also limited by very tight schedules thanks to public companies and shareholder wank. Bruteforcing it with higher specs might actually be the play. The new Digimon looks like a fucking base PS4 game but it's locked to 30fps on current-gen consoles. That's one of the levels of sheer incompetence we can expect with games nowadays, and it's going to get worse.

No. The 9060XT has the same hardware configuration as the 6600XT, but it's frequency is a little faster. They're basically directly comparable. It's around 55% faster than the 6600XT. That's with 8GB of VRAM more too. The PS6 GPU would be around 85% faster.

The base PS5 is powerful enough to run most PS4 games at 4K 60fps.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iq5LpZIYMS4
4K itself is not the issue, modern engines, lack of optimization and artistic direction are. Devs just want to use the standards settings in UE5 to get "muh next gen look" and call it a day, even if it runs at 860p at a silky smooth 24fps. Meanwhile, devs were using far cheaper techniques 10 years ago and getting superior results, both in performance and visually.

No they don't. Modern games have the longest development periods in the industry's history while also having the most efficient tools and highest budgets with access to the most manpower in game industry history. The problem isn't the suits, it's the fact that "creatives" (retards) are bad at making decisions and cause churn. They constantly make arbitrary changes based on just their opinions and it results in the same work being redone again and again.

>A lot of developers are increasingly incompetent and super retarded
Thankfully unreal engine is getting more retard proof and it's gaining more adoption. As people get more experience with it, games will get better. Standardization is a boon. Some of the worst optimized titles as of late used in-house engines, like Monster Hunter Wilds, which looks like a ps3 game but runs like dogshit. At least you can say Stalker 2 has raytracing and is pushing a lot of geometry detail, Wilds doesn't even have an excuse for why a 4090 dips below 30 FPS sometimes.

It's only 20% faster than the RDNA 4, it's way faster than the Xbox Series and PS5. Who cares though, the PS6 will be $900 or more, the PS handheld will be $700 or more, the next Xbox is literally an Xbox console-on-a-chip. All Xbox devices using this custom APU won't be made by Microsoft and there will be two of them, a low-end and a high-end that has BC and access to third party stores so expect this to be $900-$1000+. Valve is using the low-end Xbox custom AMD APU for the Steam Deck 2, so that confirms its releasing in 2027 and will cost the least either $500 or $550. The Steam Deck 2 will have the Xbox BC disabled and will, of course, be modified and optimized by Valve for the SteamOS. The PS6 which includes the handheld, next Xbox, and the Steam Deck 2 will all use the same GPU APU, UDNA, but it's believe that only the PS6 and handheld will use Zen 6, this means the next Xbox APU/SD2 APU will use Zen 5 CPU. Next Xbox may release next year to beat Sony's 2027 release.

When you actually try framegen instead of watching deliberately-sabotaged recordings made by midwits or third-party hacks you'll understand why it's a better solution for CPU performance than magically making CPUs 4x faster in a single generation somehow or adding expensive vcache to get a whopping 25% boost instead of ticking a box and getting a >100% boost with no additional power consumption.

The overton window has moved far enough the retards and impoverished brown thirdies can't deny DLSS is insanely good anymore, in another couple years the influencers you get your opinions from will admit the same for framegen.

>Unless they did some fuckery with bios
You know they will. They spent the past 10 years modifying UEFI and Secure Boot to try to block Linux users. Every time I install Linux on a new machine with a new motherboard, there's always one more hindrance in the UEFI settings that prevents it from booting. I will bet money they will add some shit like only accepting keys signed by Microsoft.
