The problem is you don't have anymore "groups". Like there aren't goths, punks, etc. in their own groups with their own fashion sense.
In past someone who was into pop didn't dress as goth for popularity for example. Now you dress into different things for views/likes/clicks/whatever. It's like everyone is low-effort cosplaying and nobody has their own taste. It honestly started in vidya with the buzzcut/short brown hair military/action man mc's and has just devolved into the action woman with tanktop and jeans/brown pants.
