I've tried every single gacha game that comes out thinking there must be a reason why so many people shill and play them

Genshin, WuWa, FGO, Blue Archive, Nikke, Limbus, shit you guys probably forgot about like MagiReco, FFBE and SolFa

They're ALL shit. Every last one of them. They are all fucking dog shit absolute garbage trash holy shit bad worst of the worst player experiences possible. There is not one good one. Everything is slow and obtrusive by design, there are constant nag and ad popups, to start one of these games as a new player is to get bombarded with a billion event popups you have no context for, fed five different currencies and tickets and vouchers and slot machines and being told "whoops can't do that for free" before you even start the fucking "story"

These are not games
These are vehicles for robbing you

The only time I've ever put any money into a gacha game are for FGO Guaranteed SSR banners and that's more so just for the social aspect.
The $15 I spend once or twice a year on GSSR compared to my friends putting in $100+ is worth the price of admission for the death stares and laughs I get for consistent luckshittery like pic related.
