If you want more gameplay it's great. There's a sort of RNG equipment mechanic in it now (in addition to normal equipment) where after beating monad doors some chests have stuff with random attributes.
You can also carry over your compendium from the main game if you want. It'll be a separate compendium you can pull from in addition to Aigis's so you basically have 2.
