It's actually 2-6 hours, which is line with most batteries. It's not a Nintendo issue. It's a technology issue.

You can go and buy a $2000 state of the art gaming laptop and the battery will last 2.5 hours without even running a fucking game.

Or you can play games on your $1000 phone and watch battery die in 20 minutes.

Even then, while the screen may indeed be a step below OLED it's still far superior to the stock Switch's.

Additionally, not only are OLED panels more expensive, making the entire console more expensive on top, they are not a free lunch either i.e. they usually suffer from terrible blur and ghosting during very dark scenes.

They'll probably launch one a few years later for like 600 bucks. But people wouldn't accept the Switch 2 launching at 600 bucks JUST for an OLED panel.

Even 3rd party games are selling like shit as well on Switch 2 mainly because the key card bullshit and nobody is buying games that are key cards.

All modern CPUs are "super scalar", which means they execute several parallel instructions at the same time.
The jaguar cores can do up to 2 parallel instructions, the switch 1 CPU can do up to 3, and the switch 2 CPU can do up to 4.
They all fall short of hitting the full use of the CPU parallel cores due real world conditions of code and all, but it's like 1.5 for the jaguar, 2.1 for the switch 1, 3.2 for the switch 2.
The code has to be broken down into pieces that can be run in parallel, and the jaguar is shit at this as well, and the ARMs, they're no Ryzen, but they do a better job than the fucking bulldozer arch.
