the thing that fucks me up about the idea of Marathon as an extraction shooter
is they had Pathways into Darkness which has you playing as a US soldier spelunking into the depths of a constantly shifting dreamworld Mayan pyramid to hunt for alien artifacts, plant a nuke at its center, and escape....

Do they even hold the rights for the Myth series?

No they're owned by Take-Two which means we'll never see a sequel let alone a half-assed remaster or GOG dump of the original tirlogy.

Nods, the Myth franchise was given away to Take-Two when Bungie got acquired by Microsoft.

Oni was also given away to Take-Two, as well as the licence to use the Halo engine to make two games with which I don't think they ever did anything with.
