Just put on the same planet. This is like when they decided to introduce the first vault hunter and it was just a little weird side story thing where everyone was 1920s adventurers for some reason. Even with the twist, it didn't matter. The twins had no lasting impact. They're introducing this super secret planet that a vault monster/eridian prisoner rules over and it's just going to be more of the same bland, inconsequential story. They refuse to design their game with any permanence. I guess they learned that most people hate their writing and decided to not put any effort into it outside of window dressing.

I would have gone with Pandora getting filled with water again.
