Mostly just connections. I drifted after highschool and didn't really do much, and a friend was working as a manager at a retail store. I got in with him, became sub manager eventually, learned how to actually order products, adjust prices, manage employees. Met with some people, moved up in life. Joined the brand agency and eventually started managing the supply chains, and then at that point I was just a stand-in. I'm just sort of a cog who does the right job.
