just recently got one of these for free that was a total writeoff, spent $100 on parts and got it back running then put the entire catalog of (good) psp games on it, as well as every nes, snes, gbc, gba, n64 and (good) ps1 game, then gave it to my brother
such a kino machine, i remembered it fondly but actually setting up/using one again really made me wish this sort of thing was still popular and being made, the form factor is great and it's plenty tough for drops and such, wouldn't mind it being thinner and possibly a full metal case but shit man they knocked it out of the park

it's the journey not the destination, i had to strip it right down and fix everything, it was fun, also pulled out the umd drive to half the weight of unit
was considering doing one of the custom battery mods as well but decided keeping the case as-is is more important, and to be fair, half of that cost was just the memory stick because i bought 2 128gb since i couldn't remember if the system capped at 256 or 128, if i had bought 2 64gb it would've only been a $50 job
