I got it and I haven't noticed a cheater problem, probably because there's a bunch of people playing due to sales. It's been fun.

It's just so dogshit compared to the old ones it's kinda insufferable.
Then again I played with some friends who never played the originals and they thought it was fun so I guess it's just a boomer problem on my part.

Definitely worth it. When the online playerbase dies down again then it is still worth it for modded offline battles. Instant Action Overhaul XL is the main mod that improves single player content by a huge amount.

Compared to when it first came out some clear positive differences
>game is considerably balanced even with cards
>graphical glitches are so minor and nearly unnoticeable
>leveling up is faster than before
>ewok mode is still good
>lootboxes are gone replaced with cards that realistically don’t break the game

Some negatives
>maps are still cluttered and uninspired for the most part
>supremacy and Ewok mode are the most played because every other mode is badly executed

Personally it’s a fun game but no doubt unless EA adds new maps it’ll die out in a month.

I bought it a couple days ago because it's a pretty clear spike in the "can we just have a normal fucking multplayer game? not an esports looter hero deck building gacha royale, just a big dumb map with lots of dudes shooting each other on it?" question being asked, and it's a fair community response. Just everyone flooding one of the last ones still up that's cheap with a nice style.

The game's fine. Now that you get everything for free there's really not much to complain about. Making three eras was pointless and wasted massive dev time, but it also clearly had to happen. Everyone just plays prequel era, a little less original, sequel era is mostly dead and gay. It's got rape drm but everything has that now.

I've heard they have problems with hackers, but that the community is working on a private server system that can also load custom mods. Dunno if that in and of itself is a scam or not, but it was something I glanced over a long while back when looking into things.

you'd have to pick like between 2-3 characters depending on the map if they were locked

i've been playing over the weekend, its nice. its funny how they even bothered with sequel nonsense though. would have preferred more maps and characters for the prequels and original trilogy instead.

It was dying off a week ago and barely match made me half the time other than the first Supremacy lobby which was 6 people leaving repeatedly. Galactic is infested with hackers and some really bad maps like that snow one with all the rat holes and ATSTs going to the door with no cover above ground that kills the lobbies and you get put into 90% of the time. The game also gets really fucking old after a few days and feels like maybe 3 maps anyone cares about.

You have to install and run Origin, so that alone should answer your question.

The problem with the sequel era is that the content is just so shit and has the worst maps in the whole game. Jakku sucks ass, Crait is a godawful sniperfest when you're not getting grenade spammed in the trenches, and they forgot that they weren't working on Battlefield when they made Ajan Kloss, just a massive fucking map for only 40 players with no transportation vehicles. The hero lineup sucks with the robot balls added in as filler. The reinforcement units are all fucky, the first order has shitty flame troopers with tickle blasters but then they decided to rework the already great jettrooper into having ridiculous mobility and splash damage. It's like they wanted to be accurate to the movies by being as inconsistent as possible

i tried it out for a week or so when i had free gamepass trial from NoVidya but it felt.. shit.. because the guys just almost one shot me everytime and i barely did any damage to them and of course its thanks to that retarded card system

i'd rather play KOTOR
