It's not exclusive to Capcom.
It's brand loyalists and literal paid shills hiding themselves among fan groups in order to make sure everyone says positive things about product.

It's a issue that pretty much any Fanbase has when it reaches a critical point of popularity and crosses from niche to mainstream. Especially when the series goes through a very long series of having no "bad" games.
It happened with Fromsoft games post-DS3.
It's happening with with Monster Hunter post-World.
It's happening to most Capcom titles honestly.

Dick rider fans will ignore issues and continue to praise dog shit design until real consequences start happening, and the game actually starts losing interest and the devs lose good will. Like what happened with WoW's slow decline, or CDPR games, or Bioware, or Nintendo franchises, etc.

If the Capcom megaleak by that Raganrok hacking group is anything to go by there's a whole ass segment about their reinforcement of leading public opinion on their products by hiring community leaders with a project named "Community Shield", which the name should tell you enough.
That being said I don't think it's exclusive to Capcom, but it's perhaps the most noticeable istance of it because the word of mouth around Capcom's recent output is overly positive, almost in the contrary of what the actual games are about.

Even if the game had content it would still be boring as fuck. The game is too reactive and easy. You can just insta block or insta dodge with zero recovery on every weapon. There's no skill or challenge, enemies all die in like 7 minutes.

I've seen this story unfold many times in the past.

It's more of a compliment really. It's how all of the Montster Hunter games after 4U have becomes Cuhrazy-er overtime but GU, Rise, and Frontier lean into it hard and that's obviously the appeal. It gives them an arcadey feel as if they know they're a spin off and are having fun with it. Alot of casualizations can be forgiven or ignored when it's clear that's the point, unlike with the newer mainline games where it feels more like a parody and defilement of what made classic Monster Hunter from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen good.
